[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As part of the effort to visit all the 50 states in the US, this is my state 39. Mall of America in the State of Minnesota. Minnesota has a nick name of "the Land of ten thousand lakes". I didnot have enough time to travel the length and breadth of the state and I managed to spend half a day with my kid in this massive mall. I tend to visit a place with fewer info to retain some excitement and this proved I'm right. No one said I will come across an Amusement park inside the mall of America. Park is in the center of the mall surrounded by all kinds of popular outlets. It contains major roller coasters and ferris wheel and merry-go-rounds. This one is taken from the highest point in the giant wheel and I got very few seconds to take a sharp picture.

Brief statistics of MOA:
# Cost to build - $650 million
# Economic impact - Mall of America contributes more than $1.8 billion in economic impact activity annually to the state of Minnesota
# Gross leasable space - 2.5 million square feet
# Gross building area - 4.2 million square feet
# Number of stores - More than 520
# Sit-down restaurants - 20
# Fast food restaurants - 30
# Specialty food stores - 36
# Movie screens - 14
# Employees - 11,000 year-round, 13,000 during summers and holidays
# Parking spaces - 12,550 on-site
# Walking distance around one level - .57 miles
# Total store front footage - 4.3 miles
# Key attractions include The Park at MOA™, Underwater Adventures® Aquarium, LEGO® Imagination Center, Dinosaur Walk Museum, A.C.E.S. Flight Simulation, NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom and Sears.

This looks like a visual overload
I hope it wasnt a monetary overload as well
Great pic

Hello Rajesh,
You did a great job getting such a sharp photo from a moving ferris wheel! The POV is wonderful, and I think capturing so much of the amusement park really conveys how huge this mall is...actually it is almost like a mini-city!!

rajesh,
all of a sudden you burst on the web with two photos. good busy shots, it took me a while to see everything in this frame. everytime i look i find something new. good color and great informative note.
