To be honest, I think this image is superior to the one you set out to make. You hit the moment perfectly by having the sun lined up precisely with the lighthouse light. The cloud is also nicely complimentary, echoing the soft shapes of the waves. I think you're being unduly modest when you say you were 'just playing around'! :-)

Amazing sunset and awesome shot. You have very wise positioned the sun keeping the lighthouse top on the foreground. The reflection really came out amazingly beautiful. Very well composed shot and stunning POV.

Hi Bob,
Although i prefer the other one, it's here the blue in front on the water with the small wave in it and the even softer blue on top what i find very attractive to see. The sun behond the lighthouse is very creative, but in this case i prefer him near the lighthouse just as in the other one. The problem of showing more pov's from the same object, people start to choose ;-)
Nevertheless as said, it are here contrasting colours in blue against the red which makes this one also very attractive to the eye....well done.

C'est le calme que dégage cette photo qui m'impressionne. Mais tout repose sur ton choix du moment, du cadrage et sur la qualité de la prise de vue. Les couleurs sont superbes. Tu as eu une très bonne idée d'attendre que le soleil soit juste parfaitement placé. Bravo!

Beautiful catch! From where I am sitting now I'd prefer a darker, more saturated image. Try it if you think it is going to improve your photo. This is a very promising photo.
