Photographer’s Note

Here is another butterfly from the Butterflies Are Blooming exhibit at the Meijer Gardens. The Gardens receive butterflies from the Far East and Central America for the exhibit. The Asian imports are lower-flying.....the Central American species are high-fliers. They are delivered in the chrysalis stage packed in cotton wool for protection during transit. No matter where they come from, they arrive at the Gardens in two days.
