Photographer’s Note
This is in the sculpture garden at the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI. It seems like a familiar face....I saw either this one or a similar one here on TE. I was going to crop out some of the trees on the left, but decided to leave them for scale. No adjustments were done on the photo.

Nice shot of an interesting sculpture. Leaving the trees in the back was a good choice. It's great way to set the statue at a side and create an interesting and contrasting backdrop. The Meijer Gardens is a really interesting place I ran across a few years ago when I went to see the Da Vinci inspired equestrian. This is yet another interesting piece from the park. I've been meaning to get back out there and seeing this really makes me want to drive across the state soon. Nicely photographed.

That is a really cool statue Donna and you did quit good in capturing it. I wish there would have been more details in the sky though. It was good that you left the trees in , both for scale but also to enhance your composition witht he face in the corner.
Ops, im out of points for today. I'll return tomorow. :)

I really like that you choose not to center this. It works nicely. I do wish that we could see the top of not the other side also. Maybe pointing you camera a bit skyward would have work nicely then you could have left out the base and had more interesting negative space around the top of the sculpture.
