Photographer’s Note
This is what can perhaps be termed the main quad of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This campus is a sister campus to the main University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, 70 km away.
This campus was familiar to me before the one in Ann Arbor since this is in my home town and I attended it briefly before transferring. In my experience of the two places this campus has a much more pleasant atmosphere than the one in Ann Arbor, though the architecture may be less impressive. It has a greater centralized plan and organization. This is because the Ann Arbor campus is integrated with the city around it while this is separated from the surrounding city.
It occupies land donated by Ford that was once the estate of Henry Ford's Fairlane Mansion and so is surrounded and penetrated by natural settings. The architecture that pervades here is a low and subdued kind that does not overpower the nature around it. And greenery is everywhere. It is also a "commuter campus" meaning there is no on campus housing. This was a university built in the age of the automobile. This pond with fountains gives an idea of the atmosphere here.
The following link gives an idea of just a tiny part of the Ann Arbor campus.
Path to Education
And my travelogue of the Henry Ford Estate gives an idea of the land around this campus.

It doesn't seem a campus but a relaxing touristic village. I like that there are flowers and plants not only building because nature favourites the concentration in studies (in my opinion) My dream was to study in one of this campus but it is remained a dream.

Un bien agréable endroit pour étudier Paul. Tout semble calme, reposant et l'environnement change véritablement de ce que l'on peut rencontrer comme université. Très intéressante note d'accompagnement (comme toujours).
Très bien fait Paul.

Very pleasing and quiet campus, Paul. It all looks very neat and very relaxed, with this little garden in the front and the fountain, It helps that there are no persons on the picture as well. Very nice.

Pleasant surroundings, Paul, it doesn't look too much like a campus to me. More like a town park, including an observatory or some other institution, with trees, thickets and flower beds around a fountained pond. It's very peaceful and serene. However it seems a bit pale to me - especially the pond was hard to recognize at first - so I'll try a WS, including some cropping of IMO unnecessary details. Hopefully I won't disturb any of your intentions with the image.

I agree with Gae, it looks like tourist place. Nice if we had campus like this one in our universities :-). Really a place to enjoy and relax, the best conditions to study. The contrast is good but the picture seems a bit bright to me, on my screen at least. Good colours contrast and superb water clarity indeed. Excellent and useful note too, as usual. Excellent work again Paul.

This is a lovely shot Paul, where nature takes precedence. I like the way you have visually wade thru it to reach the architecture. It indeed looks tranquile and to be made to the human measure. I can imagine it felt good to be there. You crisp and well composed pic looks the part. I like the way your pic is thematically coupled to your Ford series. Very fine job!
