Photographer’s Note
This is a continuation from yesterday's post. This view is farther to the right of that one. As I said the school's plan is based on the H shape and this is where the east vertical side of the H meets the horizontal line.
On the left of the photo, behind the large windows, is the library, with tapestries and Zoltan Sepeschy murals. And a large walk-in fireplace. In the center is an entrance, that serves as a side entrance to the auditorium which extends to the right. Further down this side of the H can be found the swimming pool, with a glass barrel vaulted ceiling if I remember correctly, and the gymnasia.
What I really liked here was this tree and the textures of its bark and the moss growing on it.
In post processing I ran auto-levels, did some adjustment for perspective and cloned out some litter that was in the corner. I wish it was that easy to get rid of litter in reality.

What makes an impression on me is the austerity of the place and the bare tree underlines it. It remembers me the school of that great film "Deads Poet Society".
The photo is very clean and is a pleasure to see it

Jolie composition d'une grande netteté, on peut yu voir la moindre nuance de couleur sur les murs des bâtiments. La présence de ce vieil arbre est un petit plus.

The moss covered tree well shown & it gives a soft feeling.

The same imposing and impressive mood as your previous shot Paul. I agree with Gae that here we additionally have a feel of austerity. But for me it is due to the fact that we are in a corner of the H and that building height is quite important with apparently enormous floors (I count only two?). Moreover the light is quite soft here (the tree shadow is not sharp), and that gives a different mood compared to your first post of that high school. I like the tree positioning on the left, leaving space for that astonishing square tower which is quite impressive. An excellent presentation of that school Paul, very good job; thanks for sharing.

Excellent continuation Paul. Your former posting made me curious. In this picture the masonry is stunning and even the texture of the stones can be admired. The tree is indeed very nicely rendered. Through the reflection and subtle shadow it is linked to the school. Due to the compo - orientated towards one of the corners of the H, the lush green and the soft light, your pic, not withstanding the formality of the building, radiates openess. Great job, Paul.

Hi Paul, Very nice composition of this building, I like all the different colors in the walls, it makes it a very friendly building, somehow. Teh green of the graas fits so well with it. AAnd you're right about the tree, good harmony with the building.

Paul, I like these pictures. The color & texture are great. The decision to include the tree is a good one IMO. I think this could be good in B&W as well. Well seen & captured

Once more a nice corner, Paul, as in your previous shot "The Refectory". And I see a lot of similarity, although this building is some kind of "light" version. Very sharp and detailed - I love the different shades of colors in the masonry. The tree is a nice contrast, looking good and old too, in a lovely green shade and rough texture - whereas the building seems smooth! Only thing I would have done different: A couple of steps to the right and go low! That way the tower would go free from the branch and the chimney on top would come between branches - I think.
A very pleasant image - well done!
If you look at yesterday's posting, I'd say it's almost perfectly litter free - or did you clean it!

Hi Paul, was a great shot. It really has a velvia feel to it. It's nice to see buildings shot on an angle as opposed to straight on, it gives a nice sense of depth. Thanks, Don.

Very pleasant Shot. The colors are great and you captured well the textures and architecture of the building. The angel of the shooting creates a nice composition and the tree and back yard grass adds much interest. The only thing I would change is a slight rotation to the left.
And… wanted to thanks you for the detailed useful critiques you are giving (for everybody, I am not referring only to my shots). It is much appreciated.

Yes, Paul, it would be very nice if we could clone litter!...
Today I browsed your personal favorites and stopped on this one, because I also like the tree with the moss and the excellent textures we can see here. A very nice building and an excellent composition!
