A Golden Wood Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the edge of where I went on this trip. The woods extend for some area beyond the more manicured areas of the mansion. There are some winding trails through the back areas of the estate that I have travelled other times but this time did not have the time. I just wandered in on a small path for about 10 meters until the path mostly disappeared at this point.

I liked how the light was being filtered into the woods through the trees and new leaves. I'm not sure to what extent these areas were designed by Jens Jensen but I wouldn't be surprised if this area is the result of his designs.

Shooting in the woods is always tricky to get the exposure right. But you came thru here very well with even a dash of blue in the sky. I like the translucense of the leafs. And there's rich detail in your shot. The compo is very good - the centre stage young tree against the fallen and chainsawed old one, with some logs positioned in the corner. Nice. It really portrays the circle of life in the woods. Must be great to hike there. Good job, Paul!

I think sometime capturing the light & shadow in this kind of situations becomes dificalt,And you could captured it skilfully.
Details are great with vivid colors.Nice shot.I like it.

Des billes de bois qui ont été découpées puis abandonnées. Les troncs et les bûches se laissent recouvrir par la nature qui reprend le dessus (plantes).
J'aime beaucoup Paul.
Wood balls which were cut out then abandoned. The trunks and the logs are let cover by the nature which takes again the top (plants). I like much Paul.

Another beautiful view extending an excellent serie about this theme. Composition is not only nice, but excellent, as the spotted subject, the cutted wood, guides us fom the very foreground to the light. Nice also to see the light falling trough the green leaves.
