Photographer’s Note

once in a while my freinds and I get together for a friendly game of texas holdem. very popular in the states the past couple of years. its a different version pf poker but more engaging and depends on your people skills in calling bluffs, reading faces and forcing your self to predict the worst. this game mimcks life sometimes but the only difference is you have a second chance on the table, not the real world.
i had 2 Q's (3rd most highest ranked cards) as you see and ended up losing all my chips thinking i had the best cards :(

Nice shot my friend! I play hold em every now and then and when i think i have the best hand, end up losing. 2 q's should have won it! that's a tough one!
I like what you did with the b&w and color- very animated.

Hello Robert,
Texas Hold'em isn't only popular at the states, its all over the world. Me and my friends use to play it in Dubai all the time, but whats more interesting is the arabic card games, because it points and not fake chip/money.
The shot you have taken here have great sharpness and well managed colors to keep the focus on certain parts, well done!

I like the way you have slectively treated this one to make certain elements stand out the way they have. I see that you are not very regular these days Robert which is depriving us of your talent. This one has good angle and perspective to it and overall good superb composition.
