[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a long drive from Florida to Kansas last week my SUV was due for an oil change. While the service guys were working on it I walked around the small town of McPherson to sight see and to take a few photos. McPherson, Kansas is about 70 miles north of Wichita along Interstate 135.

Hi Gregory,

It's a very interesting POV! With 3 simple color (ok, maybe 4 counting the yellow), it provides a very simplistic yet interesting composition.

Wilbur

Interesting perspective. What building is that? A silo? Since it is in the the mid-west I assumed it is so. Regards. Latiff.

Gregory,

The white railroad sign and the white structure really stands out with the wonderful blue sky. I especially like the pov, and the excellent composition.

Hi Gregory,

Look what you would have missed and we (your TE fans) would never see if and only if your SUV was not due for an oil change...

Angle of shooting well chosen; colors superb and a reminder of the town of McPherson on the top of the buildng.

Jean-Pierre

great POV nice blue sky very white structures.

I grew up in small towns in the panhandle of tx and in every town is a grain elevator and if you have a grain elevator you have to have a railroad going by. This is a perfect picture and the two items mean more to me than you could probably know. My father worked at one of these until I was 17 years old so I've been around them my whole life. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gregory,

I love this one .. reminds me of home (South Dakota) .. Great composition .. what strikes me is the clarity of the image .. crispness maybe is the word I am searching for. It is so graphical and yet has such a sense of place .. the other thing along those lines that struck me is how many midwestern scenic images have a white on blue palette like this.
wonderful!

take care,

John
