[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is what everyone expects Kansas to look like :)

It is actually a bit of a trick. This is a field in the park, Shawnee Mission Park, I played in as a kid. The whole park is surrounded by neighborhoods and malls, not to mention a _lot_ more tress, so I had to sit on the ground to get the right angle to hide everything and get to the "heart" of the praries. Luckily I knew this park well, so I drove right up to this shot.

P.S. My mother hates this photo. She says it misrepresents Kansas, but photos don't lie :)

Dear Kevin, probably great effect, would like to see a photo, with the surroundings. I think you have too much grass in the foreground and can crop a lot of it. Horizon is almost in the middle which is not within the rule of thirds. And the picture could need some more sharpening. Otherwise nice object which creates a good mode of solitude.
