Just got back to Florida last night after a week at my mother's place in central Kansas. I've photographed this old house a few times in the last few years (some of the photos are on TE) and it will be a sad day when nature and gravity finally put an end to this old house, located on Kansas Route 4 about 7 miles west of the small town of Lindsborg and about 2 miles east of the even smaller town of Marquette.

Bravo.

Wonderful shooting by choosing vertical framing to get view of interesting alone house near alone leafless tree in a steppefield and moonrise in the sky.Yellow, pink, and blue colors looks very nice gradual transitions.

An original composition with the horizon line low in the picture, but a very nice picture with beautiful soft tones.

una verticale mozzafiato, con soggetto e colori splendidi, la luna è così distante e la costruzione così piccola che ci fa sentire soli al mondo guardando questa immagine. Una bella realizzazione.

This is so tasteful photograph, so it's arranged well by the plain, house and the sky with moon. It's interesting and impressive to see color layers changing from orange to deep blue in the sky. And, an old house and lonely tree standing on the plain draw out a good atmosphere as well as the moon.

love this! the lonely house with its moon, the soft evening hues...definitely a great atmosphere. My only pick is with the format. I'm not really keen on 'exotic' formats but maybe you had to crop off something from the frame?

a very moody one, with excellent captured evening hues
the moon, as a kind of contrapunct for the composition, works well, also the high format with the well choosen thin frame
realy artistic quality
well seen and done

Like a ghosthouse on the prairie, a very strange mood over this capture. Very beautiful colours, an excellent picture!

Wow, I do like framing of this picture with nice diagonal from the house to the moon. On top of that the desert like view, lonely house... Incredible and powerful picture.
The only thing is that maybe due to the jpg compression there are annoying horizontal color change lines

A very beautiful picture!
I specially enjoyed the slim vertical format, the wonderful soft colors and light, the chosen pov and the composition!
TFS - congrats,

a simple composition, the field, the naked tree, the old wooden house and the moon. What else ?
It's an efficient picture, calling our imagination. We're in a dream, or a surrealist movie.

Bare minimalism and an outstanding composition. It will be, indeed, a sad day when it is gone. Congrats,
