Photographer’s Note
This is Hogback Bridge, one of the famous bridges of Madison County in Iowa. I found it difficult to take an interesting photo of this bridge until the horse riders came by. I feel that they added to the shot so I left them in.

This would have been a great shot with or without the horses, I have to say. Your composition, and the capture of colour and light and reflection, is superb.
Very well done

Hello Derrald,
Very nice image, I really like the composition and the clear colors. I allso think you are right about the riders, they do add something to the image. TFS.

Hi Derrald
Good photo. Excellent DOF. A little bit darker with this light on left top corner give us feeling of incoming evening. Red colour of bridge makes a nice contrast to overall green. Riders ar e totally unsignificant and I think that they are irelevent for photo. With or without them photo is equally good simply because they are too small.

I like the way you have taken this picture including the cowboys and reflection, gives more emphasis to the bridge and to its past utility and personality, if a bridge can have it.
As you, I have been attracted to shot some of those old covered bridges famous for the Clint Eastwood film.
Best regards Derrald
