Small Sentinel Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in the early evening, at a small tired cemetery in central Indiana. As happens during spring in the Midwest, the sky was threatening violent weather. Breaks in the low hanging, menacing clouds revealed fierce yellows and reds. The cemetery, a place of ageless peace, seemed a good location to capture and offset the unpredictable and capricious weather. The small figure at the top of this pitched roof tomb proved a capable and observant sentinel.
