Photographer’s Note
Here is another picture from breakfast club. The interviewer is actually part of a collective media website. He was interviewing students as they passed from bar to bar.
I don't take portraits often, and this represents one that I am probably the most proud of. I cannot decide if I like the BW version or the color (workshop) better.
Please let me know what you think regarding composition etc. as I really want to learn more about portraits. Thanks,

Hi Alan!
I compared both versions, and I like black&white better. I believe the green colour of the microphone(?)is too distracting. In b&w I can easily concentrate on this friendly face :-)I'd prefer the microphone slightly more to the left - between two faces - but it's not very disturbing.
PS. It would look better without the signature.

Joanna

Definitely prefer the B&W version - no distraction from those over-saturated reds.
Compositionally your portrait works well - you captured an interesting interaction between interviewer and interviewee, and I like the shallow depth of field.
I think it might have been an idea to take a step to the right to have a bit more of a gap between the two of them and cut down a bit on the space to the right.
Other than that I like it - good work Alan.
Cheers,
Ben
