Photographer’s Note

Taken in lake Monroe 10 miles south east of Bloomington, Indiana. That was an awesome place to be. On a thanksgiving evening when everyone is at their dinner table we were enjoying the quite moment here.

Lake Monroe is the Indiana state's largest inland lake. Built in 1965, there are 10,750 acres of water surface surrounded by several thousand acres of state and federally owned forest lands. Boating, fishing, water-skiing, and swimming are available in numerous locations.

Camping is available at private, state and federal campsites or at nearby private campgrounds. Boat rental companies, bait shops and two resorts are located on the lake's shores. Several state recreation areas provide visitor information, nature centers and picnicking options.

Interpretive Nature Center is located at Paynetown State Recreation Area.

About the picture. By the lake side I was exploring the colors with my Rebel XT and this kid was throwing pellets in to the lake. After a brief time, he got quite and may be he got so involved in the deep colors of the twilight. But when I got a chance I just snapped it. I do have a confession. Actually that kid is my son and I'm so impressed the way the picture turned out. If members still feel it is violating the TE rules, I will take it down. Let me know

Reason for the name -> It is October sky and the name is actually suggested by my friend when he saw this picture. Actually there was a movie in that name that I like too.
