[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken from Roosevelt Road looking North, Chicago, Illinois.
This technique is called HDR (High Dynamic Range). This particular one was created with 5 shots with different exposures and then combined into this picture using a software called Photomatix.
The intention of HDR is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.

Hi Silvio,
Really a fantastic shot, the light is spectacular and makes the photo. I can't quite pin point why it's so eye catching, but it's great none the less. When you say it's 5 shots, what have you done? Is it a stitch or blended layers? and how did you do it?
Thanks for sharing
Regards
Lee

Hi Sylvio,
Beautiful shot, the light and is very fantastic.
But I have the same question than litiancai, what do you mean by 5 shots ? How do you do that ?
Thank to share
Benoit

Hi, Silvio -

This is a very interesting and dramatic photograph, but it has obviously been worked on - it has a surrealist feel that reminds me of some of the artists of the inter-war period (30's). That's fine, but we need to know in your note what you did, technically.

Best,
Dan

PS: I read your reply to Lee. Maybe you could edit the entry (go to the Manage tab) to include that? Thanks.

Hi Silvio,
A beautiful shot indeed. The dramatic effect created by stiching these several shots has been a treat. Great work and an onteresting POV.
