Photographer’s Note

This was taken at the Chicago Botanical Gardens arid greenhouse. I loved the patterns the cacti created and could not wait to convert them to B&W.

Hello Hubert,

I do not know what it looks like in colors, but in B&W the rendering is very nice. The setting is subtle with a great variation of the greys.
The top point of view allowed to evidence the pattern drawn by the cactus.

an abstract approach to still life which denotes your sense of composiiton and the way you master the tonal range.
