The 2nd Annual Battle of Chaplin Creek - Civil War Reenactment and Living History was sponsored by the Franklin Grove Area Historical Society and hosted by Battery G, 2nd Illinois Light Artillery Civil War Reenactment Unit.
The Battle of Chaplin Creek (October 8,1862) was between Union and Confederate forces in a struggle to control a small village.
