Krzysztof, you are with the B&W too, as Noel, and I like it! Pics in B&W have more character,and the skill of the photograph is more evident, it's my modest opinion....I like the detail of this station in Chicago, so typical there. Good memories...

Hi Krzysztof, An intriguing subject those old running subway train.
Why on B&W? but i muat say this enhanced the outlines on buildings and the moving train.
Fine shot, good shutter used.

Bardzo dobrym pomysłem była tu konwersja zdjęcia do B&W.
Przydaje to obrazowi siły. Zawsze jak myślę o Chicago przychodzą mi na myśl właśnie te kolejki.
Bardzo dobra jakość fotografii.

Excellent B & W conversion. I like very much the slight diagonal arrrangement. Very clean, sharp photo taken from perfect viewpoint allowing tee also part of parallel rails and the boards on the oposite side of the train. The whole ist taken in very good liht.

A fine shot of the train. A picture that works well in your choice of B&W. I`ve seen the workshop that has been made for this shot, but I think when it comes to contrast, I like this version better. The only thing is that in the WS the glimpse of a roof in the left part has disappeared, and that`s a good thing. I love the surrounding architecture. I have to travel back there sometime..Great work:) TFS.

Black and white definitely gives it the kind of gritty, urban feel a train like the El should have, Krzysztof. I like how you've framed this, with the train stretching back out of frame and the buildings paralleling it along the way, creating a sense of movement despite the train being stopped. Including the signs at left was a great choice too, offsetting the main subject nicely.

Hi Krzystof,

With my recent run of pictures from NYC, I think it's clear that I've been in a "big city" mood for the last week or so. It's no wonder this one caught my attention, I love the gritty kind of urban scene this portrays...especially with the black & white scheme. The point of view is excellent, showing the train surrounded by buildings, it really has a great sense of placement. The angle chosen here shows a lot of good detail and features of the train lines, particularly showing the railway station sign. I bet this would have a great antique look and nostalgic feel if it were converted to a Sepia tone. Very nice shot!
