The Rookery Building, a photo from Illinois, Midwest

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken in the lobby of The Rookery Building in Chicago. The building, that is a Chicago Landmark, is located in the Loop community area down town Chicago. The building was designed by John Wellborn Root and Daniel Burnham in 1888. The lobby was remodeled in 1905 by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Truly a masterpiece of a building, and such a great experience.

Hello Erling,
as I see "The Rookery" building is as beautiful inside as outside.I can´t believe it,that I´m not got inside to see it.
Concerning the photo.It has excellent quality,such as sharpness or lighting.Also the POV let us admire the whole lobby in all its glory.
I´m impressed by the beauty of the glass roof and its steel construction.It looks fantastic.

these indoor shots of elegant architecture really can be wonderful.
love the atmosphere inside here, and just the overall formal look to it.

Hi Erling,
in the design of this magnificent architectural structure, its ceiling, its balconies and the great perron, is obvious the creativity of Frank Lloyd Wright.
I like how you have caught the elegance of the lines and the shapes of the lobby of this wonderful building, in a symmetrical and deep composition, with a good light and a few very soft colors.

une capture très pro des lumières d'intérieur, l'art de mélanger les lumières naturelles et artificielles.
Une construction en symétrie bien pensée, l'angle de prise de vue bien choisi.
J'aurais tenté de redresser un peu cette distorsion de perspective.
