Tower Bridge in London is probably the world’s most famous bridge perhaps in competition with the Golden Gate bridge and Ponte Vecchio. Tower bridge was contructed between 1886 and 1894 ower Bridge. It has got it name from the nearby Tower of London. The bridge is a combined and bascule and suspension bridge.

Hello Ulf,
a marvellously composed and illuminated view of the Tower Bridge and the Thames. The edge of the left bank and the boats give great depth. There's an exquisite balance between vertical and horizontal lines, the Bridge and the buildings are very well placed in the frame. The curve makes the composition so elegant. Lighting is wonderful showing with great clarity this iconic part of London, so pleasantly luminous against the dramatic cloudy sky. Well done and thank you!

This is a very sharp and detailed picture of this famous bridge. There are indeed many photos taken here but you have also managed to include some nice boats with red details.

Great point of view: the iron hedge (left)
creates a very nice depth in this picture.
The great composition makes the picture
nice calmness and the great light management
shows every detail, even in the beautiful

Hi Ulf,
I see you are getting TE members aware of the approaching Olympics in the British capital :-))
This is a wonderful capture of the symbol of London. I like the bright light despite the threatening sky.
There is also a good contrast between the neo-gothic structure and the modern "Ghirkin" and neighbours.
Plus I like the red touches which brighten the picture against the mainly blues, greys and whites.

Hello Ulf,

Perhaps one of the most photographed places of London the Tower bridge.
But every picture has a other view and other colors.
You chose an excellent angle, this care for depth and perspective.
Composition and colors makes these picture attractive.
