Wat Rakang was built during the Ayutthaya period, later it was reconstructed and upgraded as a Royal Temple by King Taksin. The main feature of the temple is the bell tower, thus the name Rakang which means bell.
Cruising the Chao Phraya River is a very nice way to see Bangkok while avoiding the city traffic. This was taken from a khlong boat so it required a fast shutter speed.

You have perfect expo, avoiding cloud overexposure and fine warm colours. The temple complex is also a beautiful one. Good take from the boat with correct sharpness.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments for my recent post, yes, I'm still active on both site. But in comparision to the past, I'm much less active, one photo per week, where I use to post 3 or 4 per week at the peak. I try not to post the same photo on both site at least not at the same time, or similar subject not the same POV.
Anyway, this shot take me close to home, the brown river, the tropical heat and humidity, and the rain clouds are constance at this time of year, but the rain does bring some relief with cooler air. Anyway, a lovely shot, with all the warm golden color of the roof of the temples. I also like the clouds a perfectly position above the temple.

A trip from Thailand which you delight the eyes, and certainly full of exotic... Actually a really enjoyable means of transport for a good overview of these magnificent palaces. A beautiful shot, I love the soft tone of the image and the beautiful clouds which gives much relief to the panorama. Thank you Pat.
With all my love and see you soon,
