The ninth month of the islamic calender is ramadan which is taking place nowadays. In Ramadan we fast, we do not eat or drink anything from dawn until sunset. Fasting is meant to teach us patience, sacrifice , humility, the feel of others hunger and poverty.

I like your idea. Impressive huge architecture against people that seem to be so small. A part of the sky is a bit overexposed. Interesting note.

Hello from Tunisian desert. Here the Ramadan is difficult, since the Muslim people have to work in the heat of Sahara from 6 00 to 16 00, without drinking water. Some of them took sun-hits and were hispitalised in the near town of Douz. Still, the others persist in fasting...at least most of them. Some imply the rule that they shall be excused for not fastinf due to the peculiarities of the job they do. And if they stop working, like some did, they won't bring money home...problem!
Weel timed publishing of that shot, showing where it all started centuries ago...
