Covered Bridge in Wuxi, a photo from Jiangsu, East

Photographer's Note

I've often gone past this illuminated covered bridge at night, and thought it was time I got a photo of it. The Wuxi train station is a few hundred meters to the left. I may have to try this again at blue hour. The bridge rail is too wide to use the eyepiece. Mini tripod may be required. There is another covered bridge on the other side too but I would have to figure out how to get across 4 lanes of heavy traffic behind me here. Will investigate further!

This photo is alive with color. Your exposure is wonderful; I like the sharp lines and details of the bridge, and the deep reflections in the water. Everything jumps out so boldly against the darkness of night.

Hello Chris,
The coloured lights align the shapes of the several typical roofs very sharply and get reflected nicely but thicker and blurred in the running water of the river.
Splendid nightshot of a cityscape in contemporary China.

HI Chris,

The reflections on the water of the canal are assets to the composition. The canal is sending my eye toward the bridge which is giving depth to the picture. The point of vuew is showing the details and colors of the lighted covered bridge. I am wondering what shutter speed and ISO that you used for the picture ? Have a nice day.

Another interesting view in the black sky.
Good shapeness in the background and weel done for the lights management; this is very good for a long pause speed.
You should try also with high speed at F/3.5.

Beautiful night shot, the essenc of Chinese landscape is well depicted due to the pavilion with the lanterns, and off course the Chinese writing. Beuatiful and festive colors and love the refelction on the water.

You do have an intersting collection of Wuxi bridges & there are certainly a lot of them. This one's quite unique, in being covered...any specific reason why? The design is also quite modern unlike the other ones you've shown. Exposure is good & the night illumination comes out sharp...like the star effect thanks to the narrow aperture

wonderful!
this one may be my favorite of yours so far.
love the star effect on the yellow light, and the horizontal lines of brightly colored yellows and blues that attract the eye.
the reflections are great too.
