hi Tom,
who could resist these autumn colours? not me :) I like a lot the warm tones, as if the trees had gone to rust under the hot summer sky. the reflection nicely doubles the effect, the house is just in the right place to provide focus point, but I think I'd crop the reflection of the sky at the bottom to emphasise the symmetry (or, alternatively, include a little sky at the top). minor point though, the photo is very nice as is.

Hello Tom! What a firework!!!!!!! The colors have taken over, they have even spread over the lake like a thick carpet. I like that you left the houses small in the back but gave us plenty of forest and lake, giving us an idea of a fall day in this part of the world. I mean we have lovely fall days but people say there is nothing like a New England fall and I guess I have to agree. You always find THESE places ... what a PLACE to own a weekend home :))) Barbara.

A fine well conceived composition of this fiery looking foliage. I like the point of view and the positioning of the house with its reflection. The appearance of the sky only in the reflection makes for a particular mood. Superb tones and wonderful clarity. Very interesting and appropriate accompanying poem.

Hi Tom,
A festival of colours, you really make me jealouse when i see this.
A wonderful mirror reflection and very good to include some blue inside, it makes superb contrast with all that red/brown around. A great place to shoot, wish i would have stand beside you here because the whole area looks superb in colours and light. Truly a great shot with spectacualr colours.

What a good title!
It fits perfectly!
The wavy layers of colour really are amazing.
I never cease to gasp at the colours produced by Mother Nature!
I think you have made an excellent choice to crop so that the sky is only visible in the reflection. Not only does it give good composition but it also adds a sort of optical illusion.

Spectacular view!
The reflections on the water make an
incredible--almost perfect mirror effect.
The autumnal colors are amazingly beautiful;
outstanding symmetry. What I liked most, was
the nice touch of cropping the sky on top to
leave it at the bottom. That blue really stands
out and add an awesome contrast with the warm tones
above.

The perfectly calm water reflected the mountain of color like a huge mirror displaying the majesty of autumn. This magnificent landscape would not have been nearly as dramatic without the vibrant blue sky at the bottom.

Hi Tom,
I've admired fall colors of Northeastern States many times. While we have intensive colours too, our forests are dominated by pines and spruces. So it never gets that overwhelming.
And perfectly still water duobles the effect!

This is one of those picturesque New England fall scenes that all of wish we could see and capture perfectly. Well, you did it! A perfect capture in my book. Outside of the saturated color of the trees and sky the reflection is perfect with spot on exposure and color tones. This looks like a Velvia moment. Wow!
