In year 1157 Prince of Vladimir-Volinsky, Mstislav son of Izyaslav, started to build in his capital new cathedral, dedicated to the Repose of the Virgin. In year 1160 work was finished, and Cathedral stands now, looking more or less like it looked 800 years ago, with a bell-tower added much later.
I seem to be the sole advertiser of Vladimir-Volinsky on TE - hurray to me! Town are little and not so interesting, but it holds some really nice antiquities.

Hello snow loving bird,
The pale blue tones of the church would create a great surprise in my country, but they are a charming part of Eastern Europe. Well presented without pumping up the colours.

Surprisingly, the large buildings in the middle of nowhere. Have a look between the two buildings stíluskülönbséget. The left side of a typical Orthodox effect, while the right-hand hard enough southern Europeans, it seems. Because of the "material" that is in it :-) The color ... Well .. Eastern Europe. But this is good :-)
The picture, moreover, beautiful composition, well specifically in the gray sky show. and surprising, but the blue building in this environment specifically pretty.

Thanks to you now we know about Vladimir-Volinsky !
The soft blue colour of the facades is more common with Orthodox churches.
You write that the bell-tower is added much later. Its style looks much different than that of the cathedral.
Best regards, Paul

I was wondering where you'd been as I haven't seen Russia posts from you for a while. Vladimir-Volinsky seems really interesting and I love this shot. You should nonetheless look for a tutorial to reduce converging verticals.
Thanks for sharing.
