Go ahead with b&w beauties or oldies.
This one is also a quite strange and typical fishing methode for Borphorus.
This fisherman sitting on seashore watches ths sea and whenever he notices that they are greater groups of fishes swimming he stands up and throws the net (on his shoulder) like a huge umbrella in the water.
Due to lead buttons on the edges of the round net it starts to move towards the bottom of the sea and after a while he starts to take a rope at the center of the net out of the water. If he has luck, the net comes back full with fishes, if not ; he sits again back to his place and starts to wait the next group.

B&W silver films have something more, difficult to rich with digital cameras.
good catch of this fisherman, sat on the quay, a net on his shoulder, looking at the bottom.
far from this resting scene, on the background, we can cath sight of the city.

I like the composition especially in B&W. This method of fishing is also common in the Philippines where I grow up. Good use of the grain and it has good dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

A very interesting and informative photo story of daily life. This must require a great deal of patience, especially to have any luck so close to the bank. This is a wonderful capture of a man going about his trade and a realization of the locale. The choice of black & white gives a stronger impact and with the grainy effect in the distance, this has a very weathered and antique type atmosphere. Good observation and well presented. Have a great Sunday.
