Photographer's Note

I was going to call this photo "Tip of the Iceberg". That's because what you see of Uluru is only a tiny part of it. The Rock stands at 348 metres above ground, but is actually another 6 kilometres underground. Its circumference is nearly 10 kilometres. I'd love to hear from those of you who have seen The Rock, what your first reactions were. It took my breath away and still does, every time I see it.

This photo was taken just before dusk. I highly recommend sitting there in front of it with a cold beer in hand, just watching the constantly changing colours.
