Uchisar nights, a photo from Nevsehir, Central Anatolia

Photographer's Note

A nightview of Uchisar, one of the most beautiful villages of Cappadocia! Uchisar means "castle of the edge", and the rock above the village, was indeed used as a natural castle in the Byzantine era! You can reach the top of the rock crossing tunnels, caves and carved stairs. The view from up there is probably the best in Cappadocia.

Uchisar village was used as shooting location for Pier Paolo Pasolini's "Medea" with Maria Callas.

The lights in the distance probably belong to Avanos town.

Lovely photo at blue hour Hercules.
This little town rising up the hill is most charming, even more when you have captured at the special hour and with the lights already on.
Also like a lot the depth of this image with the view wide spreading until the background ending on the top of those hills on BG.
