Photographer's Note

Hello, il Dottore is back after the holiday! :)
I made a hundreds of fantastic pics at Canary Islands!
I hope you will enjoy, seeing how beautiful the Tenerife is.
This one was taken in Parque Nacional de Teide. You can see a mountain chapel and volcano Pico de Teide.
This is the Spain's highest mountain (3718 m.). Last Teide's eruption had the place in 1909. Now the volcano sleeps - how long? ;) The previous important eruptions: 1704, 1705, 1706 and 1798.
Parque Nacional del Teide exists for 1954, for 2007 is included to UNESCO's World Heritage List. The Park contains Pico de Teide itself, and Las Caņadas: the enormous (15km in diameter!) 150 000 years old crater, remnant after older gigantic volcanic eruption.
