Well, I have dedicated a few photo's to a number of different friends here on TE, but this is the first time for Lisa!
Yes, most of us know Lisa (delpeoples), and if you know her gallery, she enjoy landscapes and especially ocean/beach scenes.
So this one is for you Lisa!
It's taken in the city of Surrey, the city where i live, which is a suburb of Vancouver.
It was a few minutes past sunset, with blue hour approaching. Used a 15 second exposure to get visual effect on the water.
Hope you enjoy it.

I am sure that Lisa will be delighted with this fine photograph because I think it's right up her street.
Your long exposure has softened the movement of the water beautifully and given it a lovely soft and silky appearance, enhancing the reflections of the sky and clouds. I love that almost "explosive" appearance to the sky which results from the use of a wide lens and the colours on the horizon are magnificent. Wonderful detail and sharpness in the foreground pebbles too.
P.S. A couple of questions here purely for my own education:
1. Am I right in thinking that this would not be a suitable case for HDR because of the movement of the water and the clouds?
2. And did you use any form of graduated ND filter for this one?

it does look like the photo taken by Lisa, either in Australia or in Ireland.
Excellent timing with the sky having an amazing pattern and preserving still some of the reddish tones to contrast with the predominant bluish color.
I like the foggy effect of the long time exposure in the foreground.
Very atmospheric photo, congratulations!

Thank you so much, I'absolutely chuffed. You couldn't have chosen a more appropriate photo from your beautiful Gallery. As you've said before, just like Tosca, I love sea and rocks. This has the best of both worlds. I love the purple tones and am staggered that you didn't use a filter yet the light is so even. Is this a really really subtle HDR by any chance? The only thing that gives it away is the evenness of the light! A superb composition, among your best and so for that reason I'm doubly chuffed.
Cheers and a good weekend to you

A nice tribute & dedication to Lisa. I like the simple composition & warm cold color contrast between the orange tinted horizon and the blue & silver tones. Good sharpness & well composed using the rule of thirds. Have a great Sunday!

J'aime l'atmosphère paisible dans ce paysage, l'effet de la longue pose de l'eau, les lumières a l'horizon, très belle réalisation aux couleurs magique

A wonderful photo that conveys great serenity and calm in the hour preceding night. Beautiful the effect achieved in the water with the gentle sensation of mist, perfect light and color tone in the sky. Well done.
Happy start to the week.

It is a very tranquil and a very beautiful, blue oceanscape, where the slow shutter speed has rendered a most mysterious atmosphere. I'm sure Lisda would have loved it.
You have a great sense of composition from the strong f/g triangle to the use of thirds.
Love the light!
My warm regards,
