bellissimo e caratteristico questo luogo di Strasburgo, mi piace anche il modo in cui lo hai fotografato, con le tre torri in bella mostra, una parte delle famose case a graticcio e il movimento delle persone.
Saluti e buon we

Good Morning Ike,
A fine shot of the towers which I, sadly, missed, when in Strasbourg!
You have chosen a fine spot, which separates the towers nicely, along a diagonal and creates a great sense of perspective.
The f/h tree softens the austerity of the buildings.
The presence of people adds a sense of community and brings the past into the present day.
Have a great Easter w/e,
Thanks for your note.

decidedly different view of Strasbourg. The towers lined up at the road look very good from this perspective. The POV you chose provides nice angle for the road as well. People in the composition have been placed in subtle way adding nice human elements.
Well done! TFS!
All the best for Easter weekend!

The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The length of the street is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the architecture of the towers. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

A stunning and original photo when I visit Strasbourg perform many pictures of the bridges, but no, it occurred to me, do this as suggestive frame. I love the perspective of the three towers online, a perfect performance.
Very well managed the brightness and sharpness, to enjoy this beautiful picture, which I love.
Gorgeous color, these natural shades.
Que tengas un buen fin de semana de Pascua.

These medieval Strasbourg towers are immense and tall, dominating the scene. Apparently of excellent construction, surviving the centuries of human conflicts. Bet the view from the top is interesting.

Interesting perspective by the tower on left
Just one question
Do you use the maximum of pixels with your camera ?
mcmtanyel (10103) 2014-04-19 13:46
Very impressive row of towers. I appreciate that you included the facades of the buildings on the opposite side of the street. What was the stuff on the ground on the sidewalk and around the cars? I would guess ice but looking at the date this was taken, ice is unlikely in June, with the green trees.
PS. Transportation for category? It was a stretch but it was the closest I could come up. You see, bridges are infrastructure for transportation. Frankly, I am a bit disappointed at the scarcity of choices for categories, nothing else seemed to fit.

Hi Ike,the perspective is truly original and very very nice, these towers remember me the russian matrioskas..ehehe...great choice of point of view to have the best from there in an excellent quality too.Happy Easter and thanks for share,Luciano

I hate to do this, but with very limited free time at the moment, please pardon my ‘copy & paste’ note. I really wanted to respond to as many as possible before this next week really gets away from me. With no time for details unfortunately, I can still say this image is one that I find quite enjoyable. :) All the best to you and yours for a Happy Easter. Take care.

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the stone towers along the road with tateful shape. It's also impressive for the roof of a triangular pyramid. And, the residents that go a passage back and forth draw out a good atmosphere in daily life.

These impressive towers are well captured here! I also enjoy your map reference, we can see the same view through the eyes of Google. But I like your view much better! Interesting note too.

Bonsoir, cher Ike,
Les trois tours à toiture en pavillon et à égouts retroussés sont impressionnantes.
Le choix du cadrage est fort bien choisi pour valoriser ce patrimoine architectural datant du XIIIe siècle.
Très bonne soirée.
macjake (51436) 2014-04-20 14:22
there have been many new photos of Strasbourg on TE lately, and alot of them have shown the not-so-touristy side of the city...thats a good thing too.
Its opening up the city into newer views, just like this one.
I take it those towers were once used as defense positions with gunners or look-out posts.
interesting shot of the town, cheers
elenimavrandoni (14197) 2014-04-20 23:05
Ike, a great choice to use the vertical frame this way it shows the impressive architecture of the towers and the extension of their height.
nice place, great presentation!
kalimera file mou!!
RhodieIke (11512) 2014-04-20 23:15
Great Pov, showing these monster towers off to their full height and giving us scale with the lady on her bike riding past. Very interesting seeing these Towers in this city.
Well managed, Tfs.
ourania (25574) 2014-04-21 3:14
I like very much the perspective and depth of your composition, you are presenting this unique scenery in a very interesting way. There are fine details even beyond the towers and you have introduced a quiet street scene too. You got great natural tones, in spite of the difficult lighting. I especially like the placement of the cyclist that helps draw us into this extraordinary daily life setting. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,
Waylim (24956) 2014-04-21 20:32
I like the layers and repeating shapes of the tower leading in to the distance as it get further and appear smaller. The woman on the bike is extra element that is nice for the composition as she lead us into the picture.
Very nice work.
eldancer1 (24769) 2014-04-22 6:51
Looks like those towers were built for durability and very easy to defend, I wonder how long those towers had been around. Good to have the people for scale. Sharp details and good lighting. Well done, tfs.
nikkitta (12818) 2014-04-22 11:54
Like the impressive towers of the bridges that give a good perspective at the capture ( must return with time here) while people add mouvement and some color
Good artistic frame with the trees at the sides and nice the soft sky for contrast
Well done, congrats

Strasbourg is definitely a museum city with many places to discover Ike, your photo series about that region of Alsace may be used by the future visitors of the area, another good report perfectly taken, regards
jmdias (52009) 2014-06-12 15:59
from this angle the town looks like one of that towns to play... When I was a little boy I had bricks of timber that created buildings and towers like this one. very nice view. amazing place.
ChrisJ (94462) 2014-07-23 4:52
Interesting covered bridges with the 3 towers immediately catching attention. The fg road adds good lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective. The lone cyclist at right makes a good focal point. A pleasant, diffused light and soft pastel colours. Tfs!
