or which is the correct direction, i must follow...
to stop to upload photos in the site or to continue.
As i see there isn't interest for the site, especially from the new members and in my perspnal opinion the quality of the uploaded photos is under the medium.
The Attica Zoological Park opened in May 2000, initially as a Bird Park, hosting the 3rd largest bird collection in the world (1500 birds from 300 different species), farm animals for the younger visitors and 3 very impressive big aviaries with birds from the 3 continents of Asia, Africa and America where visitors can walk through. In April 2001 we opened a new section, the "World of reptiles " with Pythons, Boas, Crocodiles and other reptiles and in July 2002 the "Greek fauna " section was inaugurated with Wolfs, Brown Bears, Foxes, Wild Cats, Lynxes etc. In February 2003 we added a major extension, the "African Savannah " (Giraffes, Zebra, Antelopes etc) as well as Lamas, Jaguars, Snow Leopards , the very rare White Lions and other beautiful animals.

Geia sou Dano,
Wonderful couple of charming giraffes to congratulate your 600th on TE. The light and focus are superb as well as the timing.
All the best to you.
ps: As you are also one of the old members here, you already know that there are both good times and bad times on TE and i believe we've already survived the worst. OK, the quality is so different than how it used to be, but i think it is getting better, much better than it used to be 1 or 2 years ago, when lots of good members were leaving the site or their accounts were being disabled. At least the number of uploads have increased and i am not having difficulties any more in finding good photos to appreciate. I remember how bad it was in the worst times, namely one and a half years ago. I think the new members are still unaware of the importance of "critique exchange" in terms of getting involved to the community, maybe we should encourage them to write more critiques which means participation to TE.
As i believe in most of the cases in life, time and patience is the remedy of all things. You should not give up imho, maybe you can decrease your expectations and time spent on TE for a while. I did it and it works. You will feel sad for leaving this site, as i know many members do feel sad for it.

Dobar tekst o zoo parku, sa datim podacima ...
Dobar trenutak snimka, kontrast, lepe boje.
Dobra kompozicija, lepo pokazane zirafe.
Sacuvajmo zivotinje za bolje sutra.
Imajte lep dan, sve najbolje.
Good article on the zoo park, with the given data ...
A good time recording, contrast, beautiful colors.
Good composition, nice giraffe shown.
Save our animals for a better tomorrow.
Have a great day, all the best.

something new in your gallery. But I think I understand the message you wanted to achieve with this one.Two giraffes going separate ways-like your dilemma concerning TE-which way to go(stay or no).I still hope you will stay, but I can understand your fears about TE now.
Still My Best Congratulations to your round anniversary and 600th photo.
Have a good day
batalay (35875) 2013-05-15 23:41
The two giraffes appear to be engaged in a high level conference, but don't have a meeting of minds. Very good resolution and colors.
I see we are neighbors today, although you are enjoying Thursday morning already, and we are still entrenched in Wednesday night.
Warm regards, and congratulations on your 600th post.
Fis2 (87427) 2013-05-16 0:37
My congratulations your 600th on TE!!!
Good frame, colors and light.
hidibyendu (871) 2013-05-16 3:48
This photo has deeper meaning from your perspective. Very nice take, nice POV.
Yes, I also feel that the standards of the photos posted, are very much mediocore (probably my posts are also mediocores, but I try write critiques and enjoy great photos posted by you and there are many). But what I also dont like is the interest in TE. Many new members probably feel like, posting a photograph is enough. :(. But I hope you will be there in TE.
jacquest (18833) 2013-05-16 3:56
Comgratulations for your 600th photo on the site. It is a funny and interesting scene well done. I like the light in this image.
Getting away from something is perhaps the easy way or is it ?. Staying to keep the flame alive and enhance the standards seems to be the hard choice, but in fact should be the easy one. But that is for you to know.
bartekp (4746) 2013-05-16 4:25
Congratulation! And good photos. Very good POV and fancy pose
for those giraffes.
Have a nice afternoon
pierrefonds (58337) 2013-05-16 4:29
Congratulation for your 600th post on TE, the shape made by the girafes has a graphical effect. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the girafes. The good luminosity is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.
Cricri (108775) 2013-05-16 5:39
ikeharel (59615) 2013-05-16 8:16
I love seeinmg Giraffes, general speaking, Danos, a harmless animals. Nice moment collected as their necks made a two sided diagonals on image.
I can understand the concern written, but do not loos hope, keep posting and do not punish yourself for something beyond your control. Some things have a cycle in life, I tend to regards this situation as one alike.

Geia sou Danos
Congratulations for so much pictures on TE, those many posters of yours did, and will in the future, contribute to important touristic information.
Your close crop on those necks is quite attractive and makes believe the animals are mounting close-watch guarg to protect a newborn!
eldancer1 (29495) 2013-05-16 9:15
Congratulations on your 600th post! You have posted amazing photos in the past and I hope to see more of it. I like the positioning of those giraffes. Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

parvatibb (1387) 2013-05-16 11:17
A great quality, very alive colors. As if I touch the screen I could feel the softness of their furs. And a very natural V :)
Congratulations on your 600th!

Urs (14082) 2013-05-16 17:35
Congrats for publishing the 600st photograph on TE, that represents a successful presence at this site. Certainly the quality of the uploaded pictures in general is not any-more what it used to be, however there are good and bad times. More experienced members have to lead by example and try to show weaker member who to improve.
In the beginning of my TE journey was very much into uploading and writing critics, but then my job was very demanding so I was absent for almost 2 years. Nonetheless I returned because I like the site despite its shortcomings. Stay on if you can, it should be a good decision. Your two giraffes show the the way, Quo Vadis.
Hope to see you stay
abmdsudi (44844) 2013-05-16 19:11
Congrats on your 600th. A symbolic shot to mark your great contributions todate, an image wonderfully done and a treat for the eyes no doubt as i try to decipher every elements; the juxtaposiotin and patterns in particular of this amazing animal. This crop is neat and the soothing colours obviously makes this image wonderful. Fine shot. Congrats, TFS
Graal (98670) 2013-05-16 23:54
congratulations on your 600th post in TE! Amazing portraits of giraffes. Fine caught moment, composition like "V" - victory! Interesting note. Well done photo.
Have a nice day.
ChrisJ (100840) 2013-05-17 2:13
The reddish brown color of the 2 giraffes contrasts superbly against the blue bg sky to create a good warm cold color contrast. I like the the v notch created by the overlapping necks of the animals. Good use of a shallow dof. Well framed and composed especially at right where the arching neck nicely frames the bg plants. Tfs!
kato (11630) 2013-05-17 5:08
Congratulations your 600th on TE!
Many thanks you're showing us many photographs with high quality.
In this case, you're capturing well the feature of the giraffe by an interesting angle with the intersection. The long head of giraffe is lovely and is a present from wonderful nature. Good foucs and excellent tone/clarity.

Amazing timing for this special shot. Two Giraffes but seem to be double headed single giraffe. The lighting and colours as well as the capture of movement enhance the sense of spontaneity and naturalness.Very well done.TFS.

Kalispera dear Danos
Congratulations on your 600th photo here, it has been a wonderful journey. I hope you stay here, I too have looked at other sites, but they do not have the same level of exchange and friendship that any of the other sites have. So I will stay here. I di not necessarily agree with you that the quality is not good, but we must agree to disagree. Great photo, it looks like the giraffe has two heads! :)
Thanks for sharing and I hope to see you here for many more photos
jmdias (57061) 2013-05-18 2:55
very nice use of these big necks. haha. I liked the visual effect you got here, like a duplicate image in a mirror. nice job.

jcpix (13716) 2013-05-18 16:06
Congratulations on an impressive hallmark! A fitting image considering your quandary, one direction or the other?? For the relatively short time I've been part of the TE community I can honestly say that I've enjoyed your work, and would hope for you to stay around! The quality or consistency of participation may not always be there for you personally, but it would be a loss not see and learn of the world through your photo's. Best of luck making a difficult decision! Hope we're able to see much more. :) Have a nice Sunday.
All the best,
mcmtanyel (14567) 2013-05-18 20:04
You celebrated your 600th with a very interesting photo. Well done!
PS - Keep up the good work. Do not be discouraged. Of the three sites of which I am a member, TE is my favorite. Yes, the moderation is harsh at times. Yes, its technology is showing its age. However, this is the most personal & personable site I've seen.
mvdisco (17778) 2013-05-18 22:20
Congradulations for your 600th post in TE.

Bonjour, cher Danos,
UlfE (14641) 2013-05-19 10:58
Congratulations on your 600th post. You celebrate with a very funny photo taken with excellent timing. I really enjoy the composition wite the two giraffes' long necks pointing to each of the photo's uppers corners. TFS and have a nice Sunday!
marina7 (8055) 2013-05-19 11:13
it's like should I stay or should I go song... Not quite the right theme for a celebration in my opinion:)
The photo is wonderful though. It's like a two-headed giraffe, a unique sight for sure:)
Best wishes and stay positive!
manrezaei (1837) 2013-05-20 1:26
Excellent shot. I like the angle of view you captured here. Great contrast of colors. Very well framed the giraffes. The clarity, sharpness and lights very well managed.
mkamionka (31305) 2013-05-20 13:13
congratulations on your 600th post. I have still a while until I reach this number.
Very good illustration of your concerns.
I had similar thoughts for a while but although I don't have much time recently I still enjoy TE and although majority of friends have left there are still some great photographers like yourself.
I always say that for me being on TE is more for my own benefit. Sharing my photos is a pleasure and seeing other people photos is a pleasure as well. I like the travel aspect of TE. Some people are less artistic like myself but try to contribute something interesting to learn something about the world from it.
I hope you stay :)
mohammad_H (9548) 2013-05-21 2:58
Hi Beautiful views, the double-headed giraffe!!, Good camera angles to capture the moment, you are obviously good

chrisvek (7001) 2013-05-22 8:53

Congratulations on your 600th photo ! You have been really active posting photos from different countries, but mainly from Greece. And thanks to you, we are getting to know your country in depth, with excellent quality photos.
So, you are feeling a little disappointed about the site nowadays ? I agree with you concerning new members. A lot join for a short while, and then don't pursue their activity or their wish to improve their photographic skills.
In a way, it is understandable, because the activity is so time-consuming ! I have noticed some new members are very, very active, and after a while just cannot keep up the pace.
Still, I find there is a lot of fun to be had on the site , and I hope you will pursue.
I agree 100% with what Rigoletto has said in his critique.
What a beautiful picture you chose, with the two giraffes forming a V with each other's neck ! The management of light and sharpness is perfect against the blurred background.
josepmarin (57833) 2013-05-28 0:26
though a bit late, I want to congratulate you for your 600th post here, and by your splendid gallery too.
A gorgeous composition for to celebrate the event, the couple of giraffes under your clever framing create a very special image, a bit surrealistic, with a fantastic graphical achievement.
Yes, a bit of bad times in this site at present, but I think we must continue, the good times will return, for sure. There are so much old members who leave the site, and this is very sad for me.
I hope to see you and your photos here for much years.
fritzi007 (7033) 2013-05-29 15:13
wirklich eine lustiges Foto!
tober (8797) 2013-05-30 15:04
Hello Dear Danos, the opposite symmetry of two lovely giraffes looks wonderful and one cannot capture such a moment so easily. In this regards, that's an unusual composition.
On the other hand, I agree with your concerns about the qualty of the site. However, the general ambiance is still tolerable thanks to the beautiful works of old members, like you. Congratulations for your 600th and looking forward to seeing more. Best regards, Tolga

A strange animal and the tallest one on earth,
A member of camel's family and I think that these individuals should be Kordofan girafe subspecies (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum)
Excellent sharpness, fine colors and light
Good pov it is like a bicephalous animal
Angshu (56190) 2013-06-10 0:51
Congratulations on your 600th post, a fine personal milestone.
Here you timed the shot well with the two giraffes crossing path and creating a large X in the frame.
Very charming picture indeed!
mirosu (15066) 2013-07-17 6:36
You are posting a brilliant Giraffe image. It looks like one animal with two heads. Excellent snapshot. You have excellent eye for interesting photographs. Believe me, I and admire like every photo you are posting here. Congratulations to your 600th (I must count my photos as well). Greetings,Miro

Interesting POV from which it looks like a two headed giraffe! Very good light and colors, and also depth of field! Beautiful composition!
NorthernLight (2315) 2013-10-24 2:09
an animal with two heads. Something you do not see so often! :-)
I'm just joking. This is a great snapshot of the
Giraffes, which form just at that moment and from this perspective a perfect V.
A very nice, clear picture to make you smile!
All the best
