Sighisoara in the Transylvania Region. Medieval flair, towers, arches, narrow streets. I like these old historic town very much. The photo shows a very typical detail of this city.

hi wolf. a good contribution to the celebrated and best loved theme of "light at the end of the tunnel". very good use of exposure to create a diffused lighting in the passway, the graphical effect of stairs and the crispness of textures are amazing. human presence is of course the most essential part of this nice b&w photo.

Exposure is excellent and the curved stairs add to the mystery as we don't know where the man is heading (except out)..lovely details on the stairs...and a fine B&W conversion!

An excellent b&w conversion, fully appropriate for this thematic "the light at the end of the tunnel"
Excellent control of the exposure
Bravo, have a nice WE, best regards

Brilliant composition and exposure. The details so nicely revealed with the solitary figure captured at the perfect moment. Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend.

A fabulous low key shot that I love, where the entrance is the only light source with lovely deep tones within the dim light. You've balanced the lighting well and good to see the brightest portion is not overblown with the textures are wonderfully registered. The stark mystery fig is timely shot making this extremely eye popping. Great perspective and depth too. Very
impressive shot, Congrats

One could almost imagine Dracula walking up these stairs at nigh-time. Sighisoara is one of the finest places in Romania and this staircase captures the atmosphere of the old town very well. You timed the shot very well to the moment when the man is just stepping into the light. It's very well exposed with an excellent greyscale and enough details still seen even in the lightest area.

From darkness to the light... Life is a stairway : we continuously reach new steps that move us away from darkness and lead us up to the Light. Very well captured moment along with a beautiful black and white treatment that suits the overall atmosphere quite well. I like the upward perspective leading us to the man, then to the light. You have captured plenty of detail under difficult lighting conditions. A very powerful image.

Hi Wolfgang, Super mood in this narrow street with a man walking to the exit. Excellent POV and composition. Nice light and tones. The curve angle enhances the depth to the composition. Thank very much

Ok, it's a guy walking up a flight of stairs. But the photograph seems to suggest there's so much more to it. There's surely a story here. It looks like a still from a movie. Not, despite the location, a Dracula tale: I'm thinking more of a '40s Italian film. "Roma, città aperta" by Rossellini maybe.

Wow! This is good conceptual idea of the light in the end of tonnel. Excellent realisation. I see your last photos are b&w, as a Korkut's works. Is it a special mood? ;)
Anyway, well done!

nice the B/W snapshot with the man to be on the last stairs before the exit of the stairway.
I like the excellent light management as the quality of the image.

I would like to have this shot in my gallery...
Everything seems to be at its place, with proper light falling in the right spots throughout the frame. Even if I was scratching intensely to find the slightest flaw, I can't see any.
The way your subject is standing, with bent shoulders and with his hands in his pockets (or so it seems), the movement of his foot, the way he is dress, all in black against the bright white, the decayed walls, the curvy staircase, every details are gathered to create a stunning shot.

You clicked the shutter at just the right moment when the man was entering the arch of light. The old stairs lead us up to this point from your good point of view. And the textures and mood are brought out so well by your choice of black and white.

You play wonderful with light along the stairway, this cares for a excellent contrast.
Architectural and presentation make these picture attractive.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Enjoy the day ahead,

You capture the mystery of the location well in this image. The light and shadow, the shapes, all work so well.

This is a very atmospheric b/w shot that leaves questions as to what is at the end of the stairs where the light is coming from. A very good tonal range with exquisite detail on the crumbling walls.
Kind Regards, Ann

Another beautiful picture where you used simple elements and did such an excellent photo job.
Exposure, black & white, vertical foramt, chosen pov and composition are highlights here!
TFS - congrats,
