Le château Mercier en automne.

Il domine la ville de Sierre au centre du Valais. L'intérieur est magnifique tout comme les jardins qui l'entourent. Un départ de promenade dans le vignoble avoisinant.

En 1906, M. Jean-Jacques et Marie Mercier-de-Molin ont commencé la construction de leur résidence d’été sur la colline de Pradegg, sur un domaine d’une surface de 37 126 m2, comprenant également trois maisons d’habitation et quelques dépendances (granges, écuries, remises, etc.). Le château allie les styles néorenaissance et néobaroque. Il est entouré d’un magnifique parc. La famille Jean-Jacques Mercier, quatrième génération, habitait le château une bonne partie de l’année. En hiver, la famille s’en allait vivre à Nice.
Le 27 janvier 1971, la fondation de la famille Mercier promet la donation du domaine à l’État du Valais. Celle-ci fut effective le 1er janvier 1991. Le château fut restauré pour 4 millions de francs suisse et sa gestion confiée à une fondation qui organise des manifestations culturelles et gère le centre d’accueil pour des séminaires1.(wikipédia)

Hello Patrick,
This is a fine view with remarkable colours among the hillside fields. The nuances of orange, yellow and almost green are very attractive, especially when balancing the grey of the buildings and some of the fields.The houses look great too.

Des vignes jaunes et orangées en guise de ciel . C'est un joli point de vue sur cette demeure somptueuse . Même si ma préférence va plutôt aux chalets de montagne . Mais j'en aperçois un dans le parc !

Hello Patrick.
A beautiful, well considered composition, in which the chateau becomes the focal point of the various other elements, like the lines in the fields on the slopes. The colour range is very subtle and the autumn colours are very natural in appearance. Very nicely done.

Salut Patrick,

Quel contexte incroyable pour saisir ce château, qui compte tenu de la splendeur du décor, est pratiquement relégué au second plan.

Composition impeccable, effet de compression saisissant et couleurs tertiaires vraiment sublimes.

Présentation originale du paysage suisse qui diffère de ce que j'ai l'habitude de voir. Bravo!

Bonjour mon cher ami Suisse,
Comme tu dois le savoir maintenant, ton pays est une de mes destinations favorites et en particulier le Valais, terre de toutes les possibilités photographiques; exemple ici avec un magnifique patchwork coloré .Tu as évidemment choisi l'angle de prise de vue le plus adapté.Un lieu très charmant et charmeur.
