A view from the rocks that form the Middle Lake Bridge and across Upper Woman's Way Pond at Sheffield Park Gardens in East Sussex, England. Late spring sunshine with the trees proudly showing their new leaves and the rhododendron flowers adding there own colours to the mix.

Love the profusion of colours along the distant lake shore. Good textural details in the fg rocks. Excellent sharpness & good to see some Spring greenery in winter. Cherry blossom should be out soon here. Well composed using the rule of thirds. Tfs & have a great weekend!

I love the composition. Shape and detail of the foreground works to draw the eye toward the centre of the image without distracting from the overall image. The small areas of red in the mid section then draw the eye further in and hold at what can almost be considered a seperate image in its own right - the trees and sky.
The amount of detail throughout is stunning and not a burnt out highlight or underexposed shade area anywhere.
I'm guessing that some form of HDR technique has been used, and if I'm correct, this is certainly an example of how it should be used - (subtly!!)

Good Morning Brian,

The rocks produce good f/g interest and contrast strongly, both visually and texturally, with the m/g. The rhododendrons draw the eyes with their vibrant colours. You have created a good, natural movement from the f/g to the b/g.
I wonder how you would feel about cropping some of the sky. For me, it would give a little better thirds composition. Just a thought!
