Photographer's Note
The last week has been beautiful with hot sunny days and cool misty nights, and these misty nights have been perfect for mushrooms and toadstools to grow.
The original plan for this morning was to head out and get some misty sunrise photos, but it didn't quite go to plan, so i ended up in an amazing woodland area and i just walked around as the sun rose higher and higher, searching for a good composition.
I then came across these beautiful classic fairytail toadstools called 'Fly Agaric' (Amanita muscaria), and i waited for about another 10 minutes as the sun started to shine brightly through the trees, producing some amazing sunbeams through the mist.
I used an ND4 Graduated filter to try and darken the sun very slightly.

Magnifique composition.
Cette champignons au premier plan sont très esthétique et la luminosité et le soleil qui transperce cette forêt est du plus belle effet.

Hi Jamie!
A very gorgeous fall scene, with some great subjects! I think you have handled the sun perfectly and I think I see some mist around as well? The wonderful mushrooms....they are poisonous I suspect? Nicely done indeed, and a very pleasing photo! Warm regards,
Steve

Bonjour Jamie
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Les champignons à l'avant plan offrent une belle touche de couleur qui guide le regard vers les rayons du soleil qui tentent de passer à travers les branches.
Amicalement

Hi Jamie,
With these rays of light, the red Amanita surrounded by ferns look like taken from fairy tale book. Wonderful photo. Artistic composition and superb light and colours.

Hello jamie
a splendid way to see the autumn; everything is well evocative of this season: mushrooms, sunrays through the haze, fern. Well taken with a low POV to emphasis the theme.
Greetings

Hi Jamie,
I cant help but say that this was an extraordinary shot. Two different types of sun starburst, the right side clear and define one while the left the blurry and stretched.
I am wondering whether you have a exact shot from the exact place where you were standing by using a Circular Polarizer instead of your ND4. What would have been the outcome..!
Cheers,
Ralf
