Photographer's Note

Sète EST surnommée « l'île singulière » ou encore « l'île bleue ».
Port de pêche et chef-lieu de canton, baigné par la mer Méditerranée et l'étang de Thau.
Le port de Sète EST au 11e rang Des ports français avec 3,6 millions de tonnes traitées en 2005. Le port dispose également de traffic important de ferrys avec les pays d'Afrique du Nord.
C'est aussi Le premier port de pêche français en Méditerranée

Salut Cricri,une photo vraiment super en regardant les couleurs,especiellement de l'eau,on vois pas le village dont tu parle dans les notes,mais c'est une jolie composition aussi avec des details impressionants.Mes compliments et belle journee',Luciano

Bonjour Christiane,
Je sais que tu connais tout... ;) Mais là tu t'es plantée. La photo décrit le retour de pêche dans le port de Sète. Mais cela n'enlève rien à la photo intéressante et agréable. Je regrette seulement que ces très belles couleurs ne soient pas tout-à-fait authentiques. Bonne qualité. Bravo.

Hello Christiane,

I see a fishing vessel approaching to the port, most probably returning home from fishing and the gulls chasing it with the hope to get their shares. A very expressive and lovely composition. And more, I like the well defined colors of the sea and sky, the clouds look almost magical. A great work well deserves acclamation. TFS and best wishes,

J'aime beaucoup. De loin on a l'impression que le bateau va entrer dans le quai. Les couleurs sont magnifiques sous cette très belle lumière.

Bonjour Christiane,

The colours are striking, the tones of blues and greens working in unison.
The boat is well positioned and gives the illusion of movement as it surges across the frame.
Maybe, I would have been tempted to crop some sky, to move the horizon from the centre and bring the boat closer ... ! Yes, I know, it would have sacrificed those wonderful blue tones. It is a compromise!

Une très jolie photo aux couleurs et à la lumière douces. Une bonne composition avec ce bateau de pêche idéalement placé pour "équilibrer" le quai.

I love the amazing turquoise colour of the sea here. The big blue & white boats adds a nice focal point. Good sharpness & superb saturated colour. The layered cloud patterns are interesting & the green & white beacon atop the rock groyne is nice secondary point of interest. Tfs!
