The church of Vera Cruz, formerly called the Holy Sepulcher, is a Catholic church located in the suburb of San Marcos in the city of Segovia, Castilla y León (Spain). It is located north of the city on the hill that rises to Zamarramala, the locality which was for centuries, the parish church.
La Vera Cruz. With a dodecagonal plant consists of a circular nave that revolves around a little building (a small shrine) with a height central to which were added the apse and the tower. It is one of the temples of this style best preserved in Europe.
The construction of this temple has traditionally been attributed to the Templars, but is now believed to be the Order of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, which made its construction and relied, as instructed, of the collegiate Toro (Zamora).
The temple was dedicated on September 13, 1208, as testified by the stone which lies opposite the side door in the temple that says
The founders of this temple are placed in the heavenly host, and those accompanying them were lost in it. Dedication of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. On the Ides of April was 1246 (transcript of the original Latin).
In the year 1531 and as a result of the unification of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher with the Order of St John of Jerusalem came under the jurisdiction of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta.
The original building was added an apse that is now used as a vestry, was later added the tower, which at first was separated from the temple and later the three apses that form the head of the church today.
In 1692 parish was no longer going to be Zamarramala under the ownership of the Virgin of Peace, whose image, in Romanesque style and made of stone, adorns one of the apses.
In 1919 he was declared a National Monument by the Royal Order of 4 June 1919 and 31 May 1951, returned to take possession of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, which has been responsible for its preservation and care so far.

I like this framing that leaves the landscape of castilla on the background

This is not very easy to make, because from the dark inside towards the bright outside light one can easely lose the details.
You kept them extremely well, specially the church and the blue cloudy sky.

Excellente exploitation de cette fenêtre de l'Alcazar pour encadrer cette jolie église délicieusement éclairée.

It is a difficult task to have so much details of the background from a dark window frame. A bit grainy maybe, but definitely a nice scene to savor.
I wish the sides were a bit larger.
