Photographer's Note

Opposed to other beaches in Cuba where one can only find tourists, Playas del Este is very popular among the habaneros, who can frequently enjoy these warm waters thanks to their closeness to the city.
With 8 kilometers of good quality sand, Santa María del Mar is the longest beach of the north littoral of Havana. In Santa María del Mar, tourists can enjoy catamaran rides, rent jet skis, sail boats, rowboats and explore its many other attractions.

A differenza di altre spiagge a Cuba dove si possono trovare solo i turisti, Playas del Este è molto popolare tra i habaneros, che spesso possono godere di queste calde acque, grazie alla loro vicinanza alla città.
Con 8 km di sabbia di buona qualità, Santa María del Mar è la più lunga spiaggia del litorale a nord di L'Avana. A Santa María del Mar, i turisti possono godere di gite in catamarano, moto d'acqua, barche a vela, barche a remi ed esplorare le sue molte altre attrazioni.

non è che la spiaggia è poco frequantata dai turisti perchè ci sono sempre quelle condizioni climatiche???
Molto bella la spiaggia con la vista della pioggia in mezzo al mare.

nonostante la pioggia, la luce non ottima e il cielo grigio il mare ha un colore strabiliante...e comunque ha me piace il cielo così minaccioso...certo solo nelle foto e non in vacanza ehehehe, ottima l'inquadratura con l'orizzinte perfettamente settato nel quadro....ho notato che il tuo file è solo di 77Kb...non perdi di qualità comprimendo troppo?

Minkia, piove anche a Treviso, ma purtroppo qui non c'è un fantastico mare color smeraldo come a Santa Maria del Mar! :-)
Bellissima immagine, con una infinita profondità ma soprattutto con quello scroscio di pioggia che taglia in due il cielo. Purtroppo in TE non ci sono tante immagini catturate con la pioggia (anche perchè per farlo bisogna essere bravi), per cui questa stupenda immagine me la godo più delle altre. Bravissimno!

Good Morning Luciano, for some reason I couldn't reply to your last comments on my coastal photo. So I hope you don't mind me asking you, before going on about your photo, so, could you help me with the tasks of re-sizing a photo and keeping it sharp and still fairly large enough to view. I seem to have issues re-sizing the photo and keeping it under 300k and without having to go back and fix the sharpness.

Ok, I really like this beach photo with the wonderful soft aqua colors and cloudy sky with excellent clarity. It's a simple capture, but it's so professionally presented and with great care to detail, that no one can deny how beautiful it is. Very pleasing photo Luciano, you seem to make photography look so easy to accomplish. Great Job!!

Le principe des tiers est respecté, le ciel l'océan et la plage. La distance entre la plage et l'horizon donne de profondeur à la composition. Le ciel nuageux ne nuit pas au rendu des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Very nice capture of this rain on the ocean. I just went to Bryce Canyon in Utah and I got caught in the rain/snow at 8,600 feet elevation! I like your pov and it has a good dof with nice details. Love the colors. Well done, tfs.

une photo qui me remplit de plaisir, j'aime beaucoup ce genre de ciel, toujours changeant, menaçant. Dommage que celui-ci soit un peu bruité dans les couleurs. Un passage en noir et blanc aurait rendu la scène plus dramatique.

It is unusual to have a photograph without people, buildings or other such features, that is amazingly interesting. You have captured the weather in one of its more ominous moods as it plays violently with the sea. Excellent composition and excitingl colours.
