stayed in Santa Barbara back in 2011, but did not have enough time to explore, wish I had, because this looks like a great place to look around. Love the atmosphere and intrigue of this shot, which is creative and beautifully managed.
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

Hello Serghei ,
Excellent perspective of this beautiful lobby . The pilars and the arches are splendid . Superb effect of teh light and shades . The persence of the monk is a real bonus . The cars ... less but not easy to avoid them

I visited this mission back in 1994 but alas didn't see any monks! I like this perspective very much with the repeating arches and the shadow play occasioned by the balustrades. Ideally exposed and with excellent colours and clarity. The monk in his red habit makes a fine focal point.

California is definitely place I´d love to visit(maybe next year?)
The composition is great!Eye-catching and intriguing at the same time.Plus I really love the play of light&shade, which adds here some unique mood.
Have a nice sunday

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Un très beau jeu d'ombres et de lumière avec ce moine qui semble marcher en équilibre entre les deux. Une belle image profonde.

Very interesting and attractive details!
Very beautiful and pleasant-looking picture as well!
Sharpness, management of light, colors, vertical format, contrasts, chosen pov and composition are all excellent photo qualities that I truly enjoyed!
TFS - congrats,
Have a great Sunday,

Fine positioning to show the front portico of Santa Barbara Mission, especially with the adobe arches from foreground to background, shadows creating pattern, then the faithful walking for scale.

very well managed light and superb POV. I love the whole framing which helped to achieve such a great depth. The single silhouette of the monk in the distance adds very much to the scene. Pretty colors and good game of shadows and light.
Thanks for sharing

une belle composition avec une belle perspective de cette galerie avec l'ombre de la balustrade, de belles poutres en haut et une belle luminosité

That red monk is a magnificent figure, and in case he didn't give you his blessings he definitely blessed this photo with his presence. But the white pillars and red fence, and their shadows, help to make this a superb composition. They entirely make me overlook the cars parked outdide (always these damned cars). The light is great too.

Beautiful warm tones on this picture of the archway of the Santa Barbara Mission.
The shadows of the fence and the columns fill nicely the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

I do remember this well from your previous post, and if I didn't know any better, I'd say this was somewhere in Europe. Without the cars in the parking lot, this could easily be some type of Spanish gardens for example. Super framing, the long perspective and textures are amazing. Then there's the play of shade and light, and a nicely robed person in the near distance for a strong focal point. Everything came together just right for this one...and I'm sure it makes for a good reminder of your trip. :) Enjoy the new week. Take care amigo.
Cheers from windy Phoenix,

Ciao dear Serghei
I thought this was Italy and then was pleasantly surprised to see the USA! What wonderful architecture and so expertly shot by you. The vertical frame is perfectly judged, with a wonderful sense of perspective and plays of light and shade. The earthy tones and warm light make wonderful company for each other. Superb shot, well done.
PS: If you ever go snorkelling again on a reef, I would really suggest the Olympus Tough TG-2. For a small price it really delivered!

An excellent scene with such perfect depth, and the contrast of shadows in this strong light is superb. I like very much how the monk just happens to be walking on the line created by the shadow, perhaps walking between darkness and light. Very symbolic. Cool picture, thanks as always for sharing.

bel taglio verticale e bella prospettiva, caratterizzata dagli archi e dall'ombra.
Interessante la presenza della figura in rosso. Molto bello il soffitto in legno.

I always like Santa Barbara, I was offered a job there but I decided to stay in San Diego now I wish I took the job. Nice capture of the red monk, if not for the cars this scene would look like from the early times. Good lighting and sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Great perspective and repeating patterns. Well seen and very well rendered.
PS. Are you coming to PA any time soon?
