Hello friends,

this is the new monastery of San Juan de la Peña, as a result of the terrible fire of 1675 it was decided to build a new monastery. Its location was chosen in an area known as Llano de San Indalecio, a beautiful meadow that had good conditions for starting a new life.

este es el monasterio nuevo de San Juan de la Peña, Como consecuencia del terrible incendio del año 1675 se tomó la decisión de construir un nuevo monasterio. Su emplazamiento se eligió en el conocido como Llano de San Indalecio, una bella pradera que reunía condiciones idóneas para comenzar una nueva vida.

Bonjour Sergio,
un choix vers les lumières basses pour l'exposition globale, j'aime assez, d'autant que comme on le sait, cela booste les couleurs et marque d'autant plus leurs mariages et leurs oppositions.
Comme ici, les pierres chaudes et le bleu intense du ciel.

The colours are so attractive in this fine image of the monastery. The gentle slope breaks the symmetry in a nice way. Good use of the shadows in the foreground. Splendid details too. Fine work:) TFS. Have a nice week.

Bonjour Sergio,

This is a tricky one trying to find where the best horizontal & vertical lines are! But I think you got it right going with the lower horizontal of the church and the central vertical lines. A wonderful warm cold color contrast between the blue sky & honey yellow façade of the monastery. Not sure if the black border is working at the bottom of the frame against the shadows. Maybe a dark grey instead? Tfs!

Fine to see this monastery like that . When i've visited it a few years ago , it was in work . The building is splendid , in this warm light . Superb contrast with the blue sky .

The nice afternoon light with intense orange color is most notable on the "new" (for some-centuries) monastyery.
The facade with three wooden doors deserve a closer view, as I see an interersting carved artwork there.

Hola Sergio,
The setting sun turns wonderful golden tones on the facade and the towers of the monastery. These warm colours are in a sharp contrast with the cold blue of the sky. The dark shadows on the foreground help for a good composition.

aunque un poco tarde, quiero felicitarte por tu 6 años compartiendo tus fotos con nosotros en este sitio.
Una bella foto, en la que aprovechaste la baja luz del sol, las sombras que creaba sobre este lugar, y los tonos dorados tan cálidos que bañaban la arquitectura del monasterio, obteniendo una composición bien encuadrada y mejor realizada.
Me gusta el resultado.

Una iglesia pequeña y hermosa en un pequeño pueblo en la región española rara vez es visitado por los turistas. Luz de la tarde de Sharp creó una atmósfera increíble y hermosos colores. Una excelente nitidez.

Beautiful architecture and excellent color contrast between the warm tones of the monastery and the blue sky. I like the play of light and shade. Nice sculptures on the top of the doors. The red doors grab the attention too. Well composed with diagonal line.

Has jugado con unos bellos colores y luz.
El lugar es maravilloso, pero yo sigo siendo un admirador del viejo monasterio y su impresionante situación.

You're capturing well this monastery by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see this with elegant style and good wall color. It is interesting that both sides other than main building have two sub buildings. And, the shadow in courtyard draws out an additional good effect.
