hello Digby ,
I've seen similar beautiful carpets of floxers in Algarve . The composition with the landed boat is fine , even if it seems to me that there is a little too much of the naked sky .

hi digby,
your viewpoint is superb looking across the area of beautifully coloured flowers. they are fantastic. the red boat is nicely placed diagonally across the frame. the sea id a wonderful contrasting blue. my only change would be to crop out the sky which doesn't have any impact as it is s pale or without any clouds to add interest.

Hello Digby - The cerise pink of the Hottentot's' Fig just draws the eye it is so vivid against the leaves. Initially, I thought the shot was taken in South Africa where these plants originated. I had no idea that they grow in Spain. In SA people used to make jam with the fruit, do the Spanish folk do the same? A really attractive shot, nicely composed with the upturned boat and sparkling sea. Warm regards rosemary
