This is a lovely photo with great lighting and excellent composition. I am a little distracted by the figure walking in the background, but I suppose that couldn't be helped. Otherwise it's great!

A shot that provides great warmth, not only due to the fire but the family all close together. Great shadows to provide a bit of mood.

what a surprise to see a favorite returning after more than one year, I think.. missed your special style and sad, but beautiful portraits and stories very much.
The light is balanced here very well, showing the warmth of a family excellently.

Hi Kaj, good to see you back - its been a long time! Love the warm glow provided by the flames illuminating the faces. Like the intrigueing figure leaning against the wall at the back too.
Let's hope for many more.
Best regards, Roberto

Nice elevated PoV. Their faces are glowing in the light of the fire.

Kajal: it's great to see your images surfacing again from the depths of PH... only time for one forum for myself. As usual, here we have a great demonstration of handling subdued indoor light for a fine tableau. Always, a fan... c

Hi Kaj. It is beautiful light and a touching photo, but not up there with your best work. You are simply too far away, removing us from the scene a bit. I guess the looking down vantage point is due to the fire needing to be controlled, but the looking down, coupled with the relative lack of immediacy is not as good as what you so often shoot.

Superb composition and light management. The available-light photograph is just what I would hope for. Warm regards,

good to put the fire in the center of the picture. It makes the fire important than te people! Good work. Congrats!
