Photographer's Note

The castle Frontenac seen of Levis, city opposite Quebec, on the other side of the St-Laurent river. Quebec would not be Quebec without its castle. It opened its gates in 1893. The Château Frontenac was named thus in honour of Louis de Buade, Sir de Frontenac, who was the first governor of the colony of News-France of 1672 to 1682 and 1689 to 1698.
