Holi, the color festival paints everyone's soul.
The festival of Holi, actually is very wellknown outside of India.
See the logo of google dedicated to this festival.
The photo shows just the begining of the festival, the powder colors.
When you walk by the streets of Pushkar like this case, or everyelse in India, you will find streetshops selling powder colors, almost a week before the main day. The Holi.
Then you will have enought time to prepare what to do, many people (tourists) don't dare to go out his hotels this day. There is such a splash of color that you better wear old clothes becouse you will not recognize them again.
They mix this powders with water, and everyone is throwing the powders to everyone, and when you are out in the street better be prepared of a color fight.
The festival welcomes the spring and the season of love in Honor of Krishna, who played in his times throwing colors to his many lovers.
In the city of Vrindavan, main city related with Krishna, the festival begins 7 days before, be prepared if you ever go there.

I love the brightness of the colours in this shot. The composition is rather abstract, but with the accompanying note it's a great post. Thanks for posting!
All the best,

Beautiful composition with great colours and a good sharpness of the powders. I plan to go to India next winter. Do you know when the Holi should happen? I know it's usually in february or march, but I never heard of a given date...
Thanks for sharing

David,Ús una foto chulisima grÓcies als colors tan vius que estÓn expressats!M'agrada moltÝssim! Una petita pega per˛, el fons de la foto estÓ una mica desenfocat, per˛ no per aix˛ li treu llum ni colors! Moltes felictats i segueix aixÝ!

I have seen many pictures of colours and holi but this one has a great POV. I would say colourful but then holi pictures are colourful it is more thna the bright colourfulness of it maybe the attraction lies in the neat distribution of the piles of vivid colours. Whatever it is the picture is attractive and shows a great eye.
