Another photo from the theme cows in India. This time the view from Pushkar.
Pushkar is one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage site) for devout Hindus. The story goes that when Sati died, Lord Shiva cried so much and for so long, that his tears created two holy ponds – one at Pushkara in Ajmer in India and the other at Ketaksha.
Pushkar is one of the oldest existing cities of India. It lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake.
Well, we had a hotel named Lake View, there was a view but no lake, all the water was gone :(.
Pushkar is famous for its Camel Fair but we were not in this time.
It was rather vegan town. There was no meat to find and also the eggs seemed forbidden. So what is the use of these cows?? I have no idea, maybe a source of the fuel from the dung.
Another view from Pushkar street

A fine capture of this most interesting daily life scene from Northern India, where the cow, deemed by the Hindu as sacred, is everywhere to be found in streets wandering free. Pleasing saturated colours and good sharpness.

J'aime beaucoup cette scène de la vie quotidienne des Indes. On constate que les vaches sont reines et on pris possession de l'endroit.Les couleurs des vêtements de la dame sont superbes et ses produits à vendre intéressants.

Good evening Malgo,
A marvelous photo, with the lady's face expression draws most attention when looking at.
Also the surrounding is interesting, the cows freely wondered, the merchandise on display even the pile of junk thrawn behind - all culminate to a fine photo.

What more authentic atmosphere, great transmission and the essence of the country gives us this ideal is selling candy with a beautiful sari and great setting with cows and varied gifts.
Also both sharpness, such as lighting are great.
Well taken photo. I Like
Enjoy a nice day.
Best wishes, my friend.

Nice colours and a very typical Indian scene. The degree of vegetarianism differs a lot from state to state. I also think that the holier a city is, the less meat is available. At least Rajasthan allows alcohol, whereas the neighbour Gujarat is completely "dry". I think in a place where the hygienic conditions are not first class it is very good to avoid meat anyway.

This title reminded me "Pusher" word ;) Splendid street shot, I like this fact that some places on the earth continue to stay without the global changes. Excellent presentation of a daily life in Rajastan.
Best wishes from Ural,

un altro luogo, un'altra storia, un'altra bella foto, carica dello sguardo intenso della donna, molto elegante nel suo portamento.

A superb daily life scene from India with good color, sharpness and saturation. Excellent shadow detail and punchy light contrasts. The repetition of the cows adds interest. The woman seated cross legged selling marigold chains at right adds interest. Tfs!

Good Moring Malgo,
I suppose when something is regarded as precious it is impossible to eat it and, if you have never been brought up to eat beef, it won't be something you ask for.
I like how you have placed this lady in the f/g, giving her strength of presence. She is certainly worthy of attention Her cloths and her posture are worthy of note and her expression makes you wonder about her thoughts; is she sad, is she solving a problem, is she yearning for a customer? She I certainly deep in thought.
I like photographs that cause me to think deeper.
The details of the setting are certainly very different from a western setting! Even on a farm, I cannot imagine the animals wandering around the home.
Have a great w/e,

Ladne kolory i kompozycja.

Bardzo fajna scenka z zycia codziennego. Ciekawa jestem co to sa te kuleczki w torebkach tak rowniotko na straganie. To sie pewnie je zamiast miesa i jajek... ;)
