Hello Caleb,
I thought I had seen a lot when it comes to Indian traditions but this eye-catching view is new to me.
An astonishing view with a fuzzy background that fits well with the blue painting of the boy. A look of curiosity, surprise and maybe a little suspicion towards you. Rendered very clear and sharp and well composed.

Another beautiful shot here Caleb. I like the bluish background as it doesn´t distract the eye from the main subject. I wish you hadnt cut off her hair on the top, but a small gripe.

On first glance it looks like it has been taken with a tilt and shift lense.

Strong, very strong. I love the compsotion, the glance. And this blue painted over the body... fantastic.

I commented the blue one from Subir yesterday, then yout popped up. A blue theme for the day :)

with this painting on his body,this boy looks like a puppet!It must be a fantastic feast!There is a great harmony of colours with the blurred blue and pink background reminding the colours of this little boy!And this is superbly framed!Very nice!

Dozen of them around always..i dont know..the blue saree is it in the BG is distracting the colour theme..blue is the element that is projected..or is it working here....naah not for me...but still a well captured shot !

Brilliant photo, this is an award winner for sure. Beautiful environment with optimum DOF along with great composition, I like the way you have placed the kid off center. And we all know that you would not have manipulated the drying cloths in the background but they are complimenting the overall blue and matching with the wooden(Rudraksh) ornaments of the kid. too good.

Of course for you Caleb, it wasn't enough to catch one of these guys I was so deeply seeking to meet, but you were in the right spot as well to create an interesting palette of blue shades with these background sheets, perfectly in line with what I appreciate very much in a scene, with minimal amount of colours and an overall dominant one.

Even the texture in the textile is a recall of the lips and other small pinkish details.

Shiva would be proud of your work.
