Photographer's Note
Evening light in the Old Town Square drew beautiful patches of shades and mirrored lights on the pavement.
This shot was stitched from 4 vertical formats taken from the Old Town City Hall Tower which shade you can see in the right bottom corner.
The large monument in the left corner of the Old Town Square in is the statue of the reformer Jan Hus (John Huss), one of the most important personalities in Czech history. A hundred years before the Protestant Reformation was started by Martin Luther, Jan Hus was burnt as a heretic for reformist ideas.
Master Jan Hus, the dean of the Charles University in Prague, criticized church practices such as selling indulgence. He used to preach in the Bethlehem Chapel in Prague and he was excommunicated by the pope for his ideas in 1410. Despite that, he continued in preaching and he had many followers in Prague, that´s why the pope interdicted the whole city of Prague in 1414. Finally, Jan Hus was invited to the Council in Constance and he was asked to renounce his ideas. He refused, and he was burnt at the stake as a heretic on 6 th July 1415.
We commemorate this day as a national holiday.

Lots to see and enjoy, it looks to be a very beautiful place.
A good composition, the people give an idea of scale.

A great view of this beautiful city. I need to visit!!! I like how you composed this shot with the beautiful towers off-centred, and the square taking up the rest.

Hello, Romana.
This is Fabulous!
Technically it is superb, with very good stitching of those four images. The picture is also pin-sharp and very clear, the exposure is spot-on and that sky is absolutely wonderful!
A beautiful picture indeed and an excellent interesting note to accompany it!
Best Wishes,
John.

Ah, the old town of Prague, what a wonderful city, I love it there though it was fairly cold when I was there maybe 5 years ago in April. For most it must have been warm already, but cold for me. Wonderful POV from the top, Really good details of all that is going on down in the square, and beautifully composed. Great stitching job, I can't tell where. Thanks

Hello Romana,
I have seen this place one year ago, I have tried to take a lot of picture of it from the same point of view and I must say this one is fantastic. I particularly appreciate the patterns that small humans form on the ground.
