Photographer's Note

Geography

The landscape is very hilly and mountainous. The highest peak is the Vigla (358 m) in the west-central part. Following the island's topography and geology, small creeks and seasonal streams flow through steep valleys of the southern and northeastern part. The western and northern part of the island feature smooth hills and shallow valleys. Sandy beaches are restricted to the southern shore of the island, except for a bay in the northern part called Vayionia.

Geology

The geology of the island comprises Mesozoic to Cenozoic sedimentary rocks (limestone, and Flysch-type sandstone) and ophiolites, as well as Neogene volcanic rocks on Sferia. The island is tectonically dissected and part of a Tertiary tectonic mélange. There are karstic sinkholes in the island's central limestone massif, and limestone caves with stalactites. Visible marine fossils are mainly found in the limestone, no occurrences of precious stones or ore deposits are known.

Excelent DOF collected when taken a view from a higher point on the islands.
Just one note: a bit darkened shade, maybe by the use of a filter(?).

Beautiful coast line of Poros, these small bays looks the ideal place for anchoring or for swimming. The photo is well captured and composed, showing the small islets and the continent as well. a lovely image with intense colours and a very Mediterranean atmosphere.

A great panorama, how have you been? From a great POV, magnificent view unfolds itself before our eyes. I love the overall bluish tone, and the green foliage, which covers the landscape of this island. A beautiful contrast is comfortably captured in your photo. I love the little beach in the foreground. The view covers a considerable depth. From where you were, we are also able to appreciate a great distant view. By minimising the portion given to the sky, we are able to enjoy the foreground and its details. Well thought-out balance in you composition shines throughout. It is great to see your new photo.

Wonderful panorama that shows us a beautiful bay with a lovely beach sheltered by currents, I love the abundance of pine trees that give a nice contrast to the land a little red, ideal touch of those cypresses at the bottom left, blue wonderful the sea near the beach in the distance the light mist alter the tones, good DOF with the coastline in the background.

This is a really breathtaking view that one cannot miss photographing.
Lovely composition with the woody hill in the foreground and on the left middle ground.
Then, the pure blue sea makes it enchanting , with the mountains in the background giving like a finishing touch to the picture.
